RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

  • VMal. Building a Virtual Machine Monitor to assist malware analysis, 2008.
  • AIDC: Design a convenient and provably secure workflow for automated identification and automated data capturing. This design can reduce errors in identifcation and medical measuring of inpatients, including many serious errors, 2008.
  • Two-Factor Predator Model: Study of ethical and technical issues involved with the idea of using good worms (to remove bad worms); design a new model of interaction between good and bad worms, 2007.
  • Bkav 2006 Enterprise, designing enterprise edition of the most popular Anti-virus program in Vietnam. In this project, I am responsible for:
    • Design and implementation of two main functions (remote scan and network management)
    • User-interface of the server side
    • Help documents
  • Gateway Anti-Spam Solution for Linux, adding anti-spam capability to Bkav Gateway Scan - an existing virus filtering solution for Linux mail servers, 2006
  • Google Exploit, using Google to search for executable files, which then lead to malware and exploited servers, 2006
  • Bkas, design and implement an anti-spam system for the Vietnamese, 2005

 

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

  • Adjunct Instructor, Network Programming, HUT, 2006
    • Planned three lessons and led class discussions in several subjects including: Visual C++ Programming, client/server architecture and some email related RFCs.
